MEMORABILIA

Thanks to generous donations from community members and loans from the private collections of our members, the Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association has established a small but growing 'museum' of pictures and objects relating to the history of railroads and model railroading. In addition to pictures of old time steam and diesel locomotives, we have a two clerk desk originally used in the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad Freight House in Casper, a cart from the Casper Railroad Express Agency office, a Burlington conductor's uniform, switch locks, various tools, railroad china and numerous railroad schedules, operating manuals, menus, books and other documents. Other items include interesting and unique examples from the early history of model railroading.

Because railroads played an important part in the development of the west, the Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association is actively seeking donations of railroad related objects, especially donations of objects or documents directly related to railroads and railroad history in Casper or Wyoming. We plan to do some modest renovations to our meeting room this summer to better display our collection, but the 'museum' is always open when the clubhouse is open so please come by.

The Central Wyoming Model Railroad Association is a non-profit organization (501-c-3); donations may be tax deductible. Please contact us if you wish to make donation.
